At Taylor Made Sales, we know that great tech isn’t just about the latest tools—it’s about the people who make it all happen. Team Taylor is our way of shining a light on the brilliant minds behind the screens, the problem-solvers, the innovators, and the coffee-fuelled wizards who keep things running.
In this series, we’re diving into the careers, quirks, and go-to pump-up songs of our team. We ask them some fun and light questions about their journeys, what drives them, and maybe even uncover some unexpected talents along the way (because let’s be honest, every team has a secret karaoke star).
So grab a cuppa ☕, get comfy, and meet the people who make Taylor Made Sales, well... Taylor Made. 🚀
Meet Catherine Le Meur

Your Career Journey
Let's start with your professional story!
Can you tell us a bit about your career journey?
Despite being French-born and bred, my career started in Sydney, Australia, when I had just graduated from Telecom Paris and was barely speaking English. After one year of IT support for SAP, I moved to Melbourne, dedicated myself to the pursuit of speaking and writing English properly, and became a Project Manager for large Voice PBX Systems (Nortel, a Canadian company). This phase lasted 15 years, traveling around Australia, then returning to Sydney before I got bored and started dabbling in multi-level companies and self-employment.
Seven years later, and many great lessons learned, I came back to the IT and telecommunications industry and became a salesperson and Business Development Manager for small, medium, and large telco companies and integrators (O2 Networks, Over The Wire, and Telstra, to name a few), broadening my skills and knowledge of vendors, providers, various technologies, and trends.
In 2021, in the midst of COVID and a life/work re-evaluation, my family decided to sell up in Sydney and “go bush”! We bought acreage in the Northern Rivers of NSW, and I semi-retired, learned how to grow plants, how to look after farm animals, and homeschooled my young boy. The next chapter I will write about in the next question. 🙂
What led you to Taylor Made Sales?
A chance re-connection happened late last year when I updated my LinkedIn profile. Leanne and I have known each other for 10 years (we were colleagues at O2 Networks and Telstra), and she casually sent me a message. I have always had a great level of respect for Leanne and thought that the Taylor Made Sales idea was brilliant. It made so much sense, and I could totally relate to the message and her motivation.
I am inspired by how she has integrated new technologies into her offerings and how well the team and business present themselves. I wasn’t really looking to get back into “corporate work,” but being surrounded by brilliant minds and mentors like Leanne, while working for myself, has led me to where we are now.
What’s the most rewarding part of your work?
Being in a beautiful rural setting in Australia while engaging in high-level technology problem-solving conversations with other intelligent adults.🙂
And having the best of both worlds: where simplicity meets expertise. I’m not sure if that makes sense to anyone else but me! Haha…
If you could give career advice to your younger self, what would it be?
If it is hard, do it hard… If it is easy, do it easy! Just do it. The hardest part will always be the decision. So decide, then the path will unfold for you.
Beyond the Job—Let’s Get Personal!
A little fun to get to know you better!
If my life were a movie or TV show, it would be…
“Divine secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood”
If I could launch my own business tomorrow, it would be…
I am doing it now! 🙂 (TMS partnership & I am a NeuroSpinologist)
My go-to pump-up song before a big meeting is…
”Love… Thy Will be Done” by Martika’s Kitchen
If my life had a tagline, it would be…
”How Much Better can it get?”
Coffee, tea, or something stronger? (Bonus: How do you take it?)
Coffee with cream and/or butter in the morning while watching the birds in our garden Bird bath is the best start of the day!
If we had a Taylor Made Sales talent show, my hidden talent would be…
Make my wine disappear… a not so hidden talent 🤣
Reflections on Your Career
Your take on work, growth, and the future!
What’s a memorable moment in your career that stands out?
Watching Diana Ross’s performance at the Sydney Star City Hotel Opening in 1997 from behind the scenes was an unforgettable experience. I was the Lead Voice Project Manager for the five hotels in the complex. The project was EPIC! The night before, I was personally placing the final phones in the guest rooms to ensure everything was perfect.
What’s one thing you’ve learned in your career that you wish more people knew?
People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care.
If Taylor Made Sales had an official playlist, which song must be on it?
“Hero” from Mariah Carey
Imagine it’s 2035—what does a day in the life of a tech professional look like?
Let’s imagine I am that person for a moment:
I wake up early, fully rested from a perfect sleep on a Super Medi Bed, a bed designed for deep, restorative rest that rejuvenates the body while enhancing vivid dreaming.
My coffee is ready, freshly brewed from a Materialized Pod machine, capable of creating any specified meal or drink on demand.
After 20 minutes of meditative coffee drinking and daydreaming, Crystal, my AI assistant, runs through my schedule. We discuss what I’d like to keep or reschedule, and she confirms my appointments while I get ready for the day.
My work consists of intense focus sessions where the best of me has to show up, interwoven with time for reading and learning, some materials proposed by Crystal, others I discover myself. I also have regular catch-ups with customers and business partners.
Digital meetings take place in a holographic environment. The person I’m speaking with appears projected near me, sitting in my guest chair, allowing me to observe their facial expressions and mannerisms up close. Some meetings are “walk and talks”, where both participants walk on their respective ends, yet appear to be walking side by side holographically, even in an outdoor setting.
At the end of the day, Crystal and I reflect on our results and achievements. We discuss any changes for upcoming sessions, meetings, or follow-ups. We both “live and learn” while we work. Occasionally, we even have personal development or philosophical conversations about our day.
